An OK WebSite
Look at the link in the entry below.
Ten days - no visitors
I have eventually realised that I am wasting my time.
OK - you win - I give up
But it was fun trying
About-Old_Meg has been around and running for quite a few weeks now.
If you look at http://www.sst-counters.co.uk/AboutMegHTMhits.asp you will see it shows no appearance of taking off.
My own daily visits are not included in the figures. A man in Norfolk has faithfully visited every day. If you exclude his visits it looks very thin indeed.
I dont know where to go next to make it fly !!
Throwing some money at it could possibly drive it forward
I have lots more things that take up my pension.
If I win the big prizes on the lottery, then I might do some serious publicity.
Any suggestions would interest me !!
Had another go at asking folks on Twitter to retweet an invitation to visit here.
One with a heap of followers has done so !!
Maybe get a few followers looking - I hope.
My Sister Ann put a Post Card about this site in Meg Co-Op and posted three others to folk she knows and I believe that my Brothers have sent some to folks that they know.
John Andrews has put an A5 size Poster in a prominent place in his shop for which I am grateful.
Maybe these things might spark a bit of interest in the site.
Who knows someone that knows the Head Teacher of Meg School might introduce the "Publicity Island" to him/her !!
Have put it in Twitter, ByersBlog, Macla and had some postcards printed.
Asked Echo to re-tweet - they didnt !!
Asked Stokeses (High Bridge) to retweet - they didnt.
Not sure how many Post Cards were sent.
Looks like only one person (plus me) looks every day.
Only a couple of contributors a couple of weeks ago.
Sad response - but I am still wondering about new methods of bringing it to life !!
Happy to listen to all suggestions.
Looks like my Server has been hacked.
Lots of sites are not working properly.
Tis site does not appear to have been affected touch wood
It seemed like a good idea to provide information about the number of visitors to this WebSite.
Go to the "Meg Pages" island and look for:
HOW MANY FOLKS VISIT THE SITE ??
I got an interesting message from Kenneth Spencer after he had looked at this site. - THANK YOU KEN
Sadly, I coulldn't find an appropriate place to put it - so I put it in the MEG PAGES island.
Have a look
A TIP - when you click on any of the links in here, RIGHT CLICK and choose Open in new Tab
I have just added this site to my List of Sites
Added contributions from David Claxton and Roy Andrews
David Claxton visited yesterday and gave several suggestions for new entries to the lists.
I will get them added in the next couple of days
I think that the CHAD comments are now working.

Well done a nice well laid out and informative site. Cannot see that anything needs changing. Hope it takes off.
Thank you both for your supportive comments.
I am expecting some postcards containing the flyer on one side.
I will send four in an envelope to the folks that have made a comment here.
Hopefully they will send stamp, address and post them to folks interested in old Meg.
That might start a few folks looking !!
I agree with Rodney that the people that know will soon not be around,
I like it as it is but to progress you need to get it seen sooner than later, ( How?? not sure )
Maybe the others could make some suggestions,
I know you are looking at that,
Good luck hope it takes off
Like the new lay-out for Old Meg' site. Look forward to hearing about any new developments. I will certainly contribute where I can. Unfortunately, there are not too many 'megites' from the old days left, which makes gathering information difficult.
Whooppeee - it works - this is developing into a decent WebSite !!
This is the first 'CHAD' comment added online.
I have set up my siblings plus thee trusted MEGGITES to allow them to add 'CHAD' comments.
I plan to allow a few days before I open it up a bit further.
Hope it works
